Increasingly, the mainstream media has less and less negative news on Iraq to feed the anti-war narrative. They thought they might get a boost from the "failed" campaign of the Iraq army against Mookie Sadr's Madhi militia. Alas, that too has sadly ended in success.
Iraqi soldiers took control of the last bastions of the cleric Moktada al-Sadr’s militia in Basra on Saturday, and Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad strongly endorsed the Iraqi government’s monthlong military operation against the fighters.
Look for even the few remaining members of the American media to bail on Iraq coverage now that there isn't anyone left to really threaten civil war in Iraq.
This is how anti-Americanism dies--not with a bang, but with silence and subject-changing.

The Islamists can't beat America militarily, but can politically by using America's democracy against itself. Everyone knows that, especially the Surrendercrats. To tell America's enemies in war that they can have what they want if they wait 16 months after Obama becomes President is beyond conventional treachery and it's disgusting that so much of America endorses surrender. The deep need is for a bi-coastal,cultural counter-revolution. First we take Manhattan, then we take Berkeley.
