You too can post your house as bail for Tony Rezko, the flight risk! Thirty friends and family stepped up. Sun Times:
As added guarantees, Rezko, 52, will remain under house arrest at his Wilmette mansion and under electronic monitoring as his trial on corruption charges continues.
Rezko hurried into the arms of a family member with whom he shared a giant hug before hopping into a black Cadillac Escalade and leaving without comment.
Rezko's lawyer, Joseph Duffy, said of the bail ruling: "There isn't anything more precious than freedom."
But why didn't Sen. Obama
bail out his buddy Rezko by posting his house...or at least the side yard, c'mon. You know, that 10 ft. strip.
Well, the least Barack could do is drop by and offer a toast to Tony's freedom.
(But maybe he's hoping Auchi will come through again and spirit the guy out of the country.) The Chicago Way.
P.S. But then Obama has that other secret weapon to bail him out--most of the MSM. The Politico. (ABC was at least minimally professional, treating Obama as a front runner, and they're getting flack from their colleagues even for that. No mention of Rezko the last debate--there was a lot to get through.)
