I just read over at Michelle Malkin that U.S. Border Patrol has been tipping off the Mexican government as to the movements of the Minutemen.
Sometimes I worry that I am getting too jaded, and then something as incredible as this makes me drop my diet Coke.
From the Daily Bulletin
While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are.According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.:
Even as I am writing this, I have difficulty processing the concept--the U.S. border patrol is more concerned about the rights of the perps than protecting the border. For that matter, its not outside the realm of possibility, considering the violence on the border and the notorious corruption of the Mexican government, that the border patrol has actually put the lives of the Minutemen at risk.
Its just unconscionable, and while I have never been a fan on Congresional investigations, this definitely, most emphatically needs one. Someone, somewhere has broken his/her vow to protect the United States and it needs to be exposed and corrective measures taken.
As I've followed the immigration issue, its occured to me that while illegals are the problem there are elements within our own political system and government that are the enemy. The only way we are going to get a rational policy is if we, the people, ram it down the throats of the political class.
Write your congressman and ask for an investigation.
Learning about debt management before you actually need debt relief is the right way of doing it. That also includes sensible handling of credit cards and strict abstinence on the online credit card. The worth of insurance and small saving deals is conveyed too.
