I've been listening to news reports all day about Jill Carroll release from her three month kidnapping ordeal and I can't shake the feeling that something is not right.
Kidnappers grab her, kill her interpreter, let her driver go and then proceed to "be nice" to her for three months while they make various unmet demands and then just let her go?
It doesn't seem like her captors were cut out for the kidnapping game and that seems highly unlikely.
I don't want to sound like a nut, but could this have been staged?
UPDATE: Carroll's kidnappers release an "interview" with Carroll in which she praises the "mujadeen" and predicts their ultimate victory. Apparently the insurgents are realizing the American left are their allies in restoring the glorious regime of Saddam Hussein..

Yes, you do sound like a nut. Now apologize for your ridiculous assumptions about her and her ordeal.
The only thing more obnoxious than an armchair general is an armchair hostage. Use a little judgment next time.

I sound like a nut for noting that the entire kidnapping ordeal is more than passing odd?
Now who's the nut?
